In August, we searched for and photographed Lines. We learned that lines create depth in an image and lead the viewer into and through the frame. We had so many wonderful submissions, and the Secret Picker selected the winning image belonging to Michelle Wright!
In the Secret Picker's words: "The composition of this image is simply wonderful! The lines of the pier all draw the eye in and lead you to the fisherman at the rail. The foreground framing elements of the risers and support is icing on the cake. And freelensed to boot! Fabulous work!" You can find more of Michelle's work at Michelle Wright Photography. Congrats Michelle! This image is truly special!
Two other images with great lines...

Nature's Child Photography
Mindy rocked the Line topic with this image. There are so many wonderful different types of lines. The lines of the bricks lead to the lines of the arches, and that little pocket of light right there is just perfect... It's a line in and of itself!
by Randi Brown Jacobs.
Randi's image is like a postcard. The line of the fence and path lead us into the frame right to the lighthouse. The lighthouse stands tall (a line again!), giving us a sense of its height. The vertical orientation really highlights that as well.
Beautiful work this month!
