In October, we photographed the color Orange. It was a very colorful month! The secret picker chose Kathy Davis Linford's image to showcase, and a beauty it is!
The secret picker said: "I love this image! I saw this and felt transported into the frame due to the wide angle. A great choice of lens for this scene as it captured the essence of the parkland. I love the crop and the editing is perfection! Such beautiful orange (and yellow!) tones. The pops of color on the background vegetation balance the color in the foreground. The diagonal lighting takes my eye from the left orange foliage through the image to the small stone monument, lingering on the trees there then out of the frame. Wonderful work Kathy!" You can find more of Kathy's work at Linford Photography. Gorgeous Autumn image, Kathy! It's a piece of artwork!
Two additional Orange images to showcase were taken by a different photographer.
by Christine Wright.
I don't normally pick two photos by the same photographer, but what caught my attention was Christine's consistent use of color in very different images. The first is a flatlay, with gorgeous texture and lines. That one white carrot stands out amongst the bunch of orange. The second image is a lifestyle image on Halloween night, where Christine captured a fun moment amongst the orange light.
Great work with Orange!
